Atacand HCT

Atacand HCT is a prescription medication that combines two drugs, candesartan and hydrochlorothiazide. Candesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) and hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic. Atacand HCT is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and may help prevent heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems. It works by relaxing blood vessels to help lower blood pressure and by increasing the amount of urine produced to help reduce fluid retention.
