Doxycycline

Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic commonly prescribed to treat various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, skin infections, and sexually transmitted infections. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, thereby preventing their growth and multiplication. Available in both prescription and over-the-counter forms, it is also used for malaria prophylaxis and acne treatment.
