Janumet

Janumet is a prescription medication that contains two active ingredients, sitagliptin and metformin. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes by improving blood sugar control. Sitagliptin works by increasing the levels of incretin hormones in the body, which stimulate the pancreas to produce more insulin and reduce the amount of glucose produced by the liver. Metformin works by decreasing the amount of glucose absorbed from food and reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver.
